I learned about it in a roundabout way. Someone knew her husband and mentioned he was a widower. How is that possible? I thought. I looked it up and discovered that she had passed away 5 years ago. I was stunned, and when I told Kim, she was too. I think it was sudden. Diane was so important in our class, both academically and personally. She will stay in my memory.
Diane taught English at GHS for a few years after Temple. She once told me that she gave out a grammar book with her own name in it! She probably found many of ours as well.
