Marvin Grossman was born November 16th, 1942. He grew up in Philadelphia – The oldest son to Al and Jean Grossman. Marvin was known to all as a kind and generous man – Completely open-minded and accepting of those around him.

Marvin went to school at the Philadelphia Textile College and graduated with his BS in 1964. He had a successful career designing fabrics and then expanded his career include representing different manufacturers in the Home Furnishings industry.

Marvin is succeeded by his mother; Jean Jaffe
His wife; Lee Grossman
His children; Amy Grossman, Lisa Grossman, Penny Carroll and Robert Spies
and his grandchildren; Miles Ortmeyer, Alana Brader, Addison Spies and Cole Spies

His family includes a larger circle of love extending past his immediate family – Marvin was incredibly close with his Brother Arthur Grossman and his Sister-n-Law Cathy Grossman along with their children; Marcy Ross, Emily Whitwam, Clay Grossman and Ted Grossman. And the circle continues past that. Marvin has really touched so many lives.

Marvin loved to travel and was able to share his experiences through his photography which is framed in his home as well as in many of his family members’ homes. He loved his music and also shared this passion with his friends and family. But mostly, Marvin just loved his family and treated us all with respect and love.

He spent the last 35 years with the love of his life, Lee Grossman. He loved her and cherished her and let her grow into the person she is today.

He was such a good man and will be sorely missed.

Marv was a very good friend of mine thoughout high school.  I regret not staying in contact with him though the years.  He was upbeat, sharp and warm.  I feel his passing as if it were still 1960. – Walt Fellman

Thanks, Walt, for your kind comments.  Marvin was a good man, a great dad, and altho we were divorced for over 30 years, we kept in touch, sharing our joys in our children and grandchildren.

Hope you are well.
